The devastation Hurricane Helene caused in our community and many others is beyond comprehension, but we are here to support our residents' immediate and long-term needs. We are working with our local agencies to respond to our Anderson County community's needs as quickly as we can.

Food & Hygiene Donations Needed

Drop off food and products to help community members in need. Drop-offs can be brought to United Way of Anderson County (604 N. Murray Ave. Anderson, SC 29625) during business hours M-Th 8:30-4:30 and Fridays 8:30-12:00. Please call 864-226-3438 for more information or to arrange a pick up.

Clean-up Efforts: We also are helping connect people who want to help with clean-up to local agencies that directly work with homeowners - especially if you have tools such as chainsaws, trailers, etc. Call Zeke at 864-226-3438 ext. 109 or email zeke@uwandsc.org to get connected with clean-up efforts.

Dial 2-1-1 for NON EMERGENCY requests for information. This includes locations of shelters, how to find help with food or water, and later information about FEMA and other rebuilding support efforts. Available 24/7 2-1-1, a single, easy-to-remember number.  Their team is behind the scenes with local and state emergency response teams, coupled with our robust resource database, which is vital to our response efforts.

Anderson School Dristrict 5 Meal Pick Up

 

Anderson Five will provide meals for anyone 18 years of age or younger on Tuesday 10/01 and Wednesday 10/02 at the following sites: Calhoun Academy, Centerville Elementary, North Pointe Elementary, Varennes Elementary, Whitehall Elementary, and Robert Anderson Middle.

Children do not have to be Anderson Five students, but meals can only be provided to those 18 years of age and younger per our agreement with the USDA. Children must also be present to receive the meal.

Each site will operate from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
