First Flight Alliance
Recently our United Way Board of Directors agreed to a merger with First Flight Alliance to offer our community access to programs that help them live a healthier life through physical activity. First Flight Alliance events will be branded as “Powered By United Way”. These events include Operation Active Kids, the Electric City Gobbler 5K, America’s 5K, and Camp#Runthistown BIG APPLE. With 70% of the adult population in Anderson County either overweight or obese, there is a great need for physical activity options. These activities will increase activity in children and adults.
